HAZEL + SCOUT
I began this site on a whim over six years ago as a creative outlet and visual style guide but quickly watched as curating the things that I love bled into every aspect of my life. What started as a free-form sartorial journal has since evolved into a destination for all kinds of creative inspiration and female empowerment. It is my hope that this space can become a respite for all women... a place for you to come and be inspired. Whether you're looking for fashion tips, ideas for creating a stylishly lived-in home or stories of women that will feed your soul, there is something here for you to connect with.
I am a stylist, content creator and digital native (having grown up on the internet) currently living with my husband and daughter in the Southern USA.
After pursuing a degree in Linguistic Anthropology, I abandoned traditional schooling in favor of a more creative career (all the while refining my personal aesthetic and navigating motherhood). Through trial and a lot of error, I have discovered a niche in the styling and blogging world which ultimately lead me to moonlight in the bridal industry. A "structured bohemian" style expert with a penchant for playing with neutrals and layering patterns, I can be found constantly changing creative hats and building a life with my family in rural Alabama. I find joy collecting records, brunching on the weekends, rearranging spaces and gathering inspiration for rainy days.
The Hazel + Scout blog was created with the desire to connect and relate to other creatives. More than anything else, I value the strong relationships I've made with my readers. While I love collaborating with wonderful brands, this website is less about advertising and more about coming together with amazing brands to produce new and interesting content. I love working with other artists, designers, brands, and labels to create something beautiful and cool!
I can be found collaborating with brands such as Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, Green Wedding Shoes, Daughters of Simone, BHLDN & more.
