Joshua Tree + Palm Springs 2017

While spending time in Southern California with family I took a day trip to the high desert with my husband, my sister and her beau. Joshua Tree and Palm Springs have always been on the top of my list of places to visit and I'm so glad we were able to get away and explore a little bit.

Although we traveled to Palm Springs during off-season (most shops and restaurants in the downtown area were closed), we did a little browsing, stopped by a thrift store and made our way to the Ace Hotel & Swim Club for lunch (tacos!), photo booth hangs and a little bit of pool exploring. Obsessed doesn't even begin to cover how I feel about this place and I'm already mentally planning an actual stay at the hotel for the future.

After leaving Palm Springs we made our way to Joshua Tree National Park and Desert X (an ahh-mazing mirrored art installation in the desert). Both places were absolutely stunning and it was such a breath of fresh air to wander around in wide open spaces. While I wouldn't recommend venturing into the desert on a 110 degree day, we had such a wonderful time.

Lately I've been trying to get more consistent with memory keeping so I took a few iphone video clips during our getaway. It's so nice to have something to look back on and I thought you might enjoy seeing this little video too:

Tour Our Nashville Airbnb

A few weeks ago my husband and I traveled to Nashville to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. Even though Music City is a short trek from home, we took the opportunity to enjoy a small stay-caytion and booked the cutest Airbnb. Like all good things, I stumbled upon this sweet little space surfing the web and was pleasantly surprised to find the IRL version just as charming as the photos we clicked through online.

I was absolutely smitten with the bright white walls and minimal clutter... so smitten that I returned home and immediately began scheming ways to refresh our walls and purge our belongings. There was a peaceful vibe all throughout the home and I could have totally stayed forever. Now I'm on a mission to streamline our things and spruce up until it feels just as relaxing to be home as it does to be away. Wish me luck!

p.s. We couldn't recommend Judah and Lindsey's place any more! If you're ever headed to Nashville do yourself a favor and book here.

A Slow Moroccan Morning with Urban Outfitters

Vacation is all about the (coveted) leisurely wake-up, precious extra moments under the covers each day and being able to explore beautiful new spaces without leaving "home" (aka your hotel or air bnb). Nothing beats a slow morning and I definitely had my fair share of them in our magical riad in Marrakech. I can't wait to share every single detail of our incredible escape but what better to set the tone for vacation than a relaxed morning taking in the nooks and crannies of this wonderful place?
