After about a year of wearing only neutral hued pieces I've begun to crave a little color in my wardrobe and what better way to incorporate some color than by going all-out with fluorescents? Highlighter yellow looks fabulous on summer tanned skin and is a chic way to stay on trend this season. I love mixing brights with neutrals (a trend that has been popping (no pun intended) up for a few seasons) but limit yourself to one neon accent if you're wearing it with black pieces or risk looking like a bumble bee!

I began following Aimee Song of Song of Style when she first started her fashion blog in 2008 (my very first bookmarked blogger!) and I haven't looked back since. With her California cool sense of style and my total envy of her fabulous interior design and architecture career (hello, dream life!) she quickly became my favorite blogger. Although I find it difficult to wear much jewelry, what with wrangling a one year old on a daily basis, I'm totally in love with the gypsy-chic ring-on-every-finger look and I've made it my personal mission to work more baubles into my everyday ensemble! Dainty bands and larger geode rings look fabulous together granted they remain in the same metal family (think all gold, rose gold or silver at once). Try experimenting with size and materials and mix in the new trend of phalange (or first knuckle) rings to really command this look.
