The Zara lookbook for August is out and I am officially in TROUBLE! I'm loving all the little details (see: studs, feathers and pearls) and texture variations and I'm looking for any reason to wear these pieces in my daily life. Oh Zara, you know how to make me fall for you every month...

Today was a chill day filled with THE BEST burgers and a trip to the book store (I finally brought The Wonderful World of Fifi Lapin home!). With the Florida humidity limiting my outfit options to shorts, shorts and more shorts these bleached and studded ones have been  my go to this summer. I'd love to thrift some vintage high waisted jeans and DIY a pair for myself! I put on this lightweight leopard shawl (that I picked up at the HUGE four story Forever 21 in Japan) a little begrudgingly (because it's so hot I'm melting!) but it helped me to feel less naked than I did with just a tank.

I finally managed to bust out the tripod, tinker with the self-timer on my camera and capture a few outfit shots. I promise they'll get better as I figure out these outfit-of-the-day style posts (hang in there!).

I'm finally back to blogging! After what seemed like the longest involuntary hiatus ever, I'm so happy to have found a fab new laptop and to get back to what I love most. 

With a little time comes the urge to switch it up and I'm definitely looking to introduce more adventurous fashion pieces into my wardrobe after a year of neutrals. I'm loving patterned skinnies to help amp up the trendiness. Keep it cool and casual by rocking some printed pants with your favorite basics in unexpected colors!
