Witchy Woman

Happy Halloween lovelies! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and what better way to celebrate than with a little spooky inspiration from my all-time favorite movie, Practical Magic? I'm a total sucker for the 90s Wicca thing (think this movie, The Craft, Charmed...) and love the look of these particular witches. Earthy colors, rich fabrics and laid back beauty? I'll take it all! If you've never seen this movie, do so, immediately. It's full of Hollywood A-listers (Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Stockard Channing and young Camilla Belle and Evan Rachel Wood), the perfect amount of romantic cheese, and THAT HOUSE(!).

P.S. Also, favorite soundtrack ever!

Chelsea & The Country

studded shoulder blouse: zara | diy shorts: thrifted gloria vanderbilt | booties: f21 | cuff necklace: h&m

This city girl is definitely looking a bit country lately but I can't help but repeat these western inspired "chelsea boots" (fitting, no?) with everything I wear. They're comfy, have a great taper that doesn't cut my legs off and the tassels are super fun to walk in!

On another note, I'm starting to get beyond excited for this weekend! We're headed to Disney World to celebrate Halloween with Mickey Mouse. What are your Halloween plans this year?

Autumn To-Do List

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year (have you noticed yet?) and I'm on a mission to get in as many leaf crunching, pumpkin tasting good times as possible this season. Here's what I'll be up to:

  1. Take Lorelai to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney World
  2. Bake some tasty fall treats (think apples, pumpkin and cinnamon!)
  3. Pick out and carve pumpkins
  4. Find an apple orchard and do some picking
  5. Decorate our little space with some autumnal touches
  6. Camp out in the living room and have a Halloween movie night (Hocus Pocus, It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, etc.) complete with candy and sleeping bags
  7. Find somewhere to take a walk through pretty leaves (hard to do in Florida!)
  8. Try not to over-cook on Thanksgiving
  9. Pull on some boots and light layers!
  10. Embrace the season with dark lips and pretty fall colors

What are you planning for the remainder of Autumn?
