Happy Friday! + weekly roundup

The weekend is here, hooray! I'm finally getting into the swing of the New Year and I feel like this week was both productive and fun. We took a trip to the circus, I got a leg up on flu season & I'm totally proud of the blogging progress I made. I hope that your weekend is full of sequins, down time & possibly a date night of your own! Check out the links below to find out what I was loving elsewhere in the blogisphere this week:

Grin & Bear It

sweater: pacsun | skirt: forever 21 (similar here) | sneaker wedges: forever 21 (cute ones here) | bracelet: tiffany & co.

Winter was short lived here in sunny Florida (actually there really wasn't a winter, just unbearable heat followed by more tolerable warmth) so I thought I would wear this great polar bear sweater one last time before it's officially Spring! This was definitely my favorite festive top this season and I rocked it while baking/decorating cookies, shopping for Christmas gifts and watching holiday movies. While I'm all for the holidays, I'm so excited for Spring. Goodbye oxblood and bring on the mint and emerald! What's your favorite part of the upcoming change of seasons?

Don't forget to follow me on Google Friend Connect so I know you're out there. I love hearing from you!

Lions, Tigers & Bears. Oh My!

on me: peplum top: forever 21 (similar here) | pixie pants: j crew | velvet flats: zara | necklace: forever 21 (lusting after this one) |
bag: burberry (clutch version)| bracelets: tiffany & co, madewell

on lorelai: dress: baby gap | band jacket: baby gap (on sale!) | kitten flats: baby gap

Today we took Lorelai to the circus! We threw on her band jacket, munched on some cotton candy and saw elephants, camels and acrobats. Sorry for the lack of outfit shots, we were way too busy having fun! My favorite thing about being a mommy is looking on as Lorelai experiences tons of exciting things for the first time and I'm so glad we were able to share such a special day with her. What exciting things have you done lately?
