Happy Friday! + weekly roundup
images via tumblr

It's Friday! This week went by unbelievably quickly and I can't believe it's almost February. It's crazy how fast time flies as we get older, isn't it?  This weekend I've got house cleaning/organizing on the brain and a little Valentine's Day prep to do for my mister. Here's hoping that your weekend is filled with tons of time to kick those feet up (and maybe some metallic silver oxfords for good measure). Check out what I've been digging on the web:

My Funny Valentine

I love Valentine's Day! The love in the air, the romantic gestures, all of the pink... I just can't help it. This year I'd be more than happy to spend the night in with a few classic movies, some decadent treats (macarons are my favorite!) and Mr. Jackson. An amazing statement necklace, a few cute wardrobe pieces and the ultimate piece of jewelry would definitely send me through the roof but I would be just as happy with a hand-written card filled with a few sweet nothings! Do you have love day plans?

p.s. I loved flipping through the To & From Valentine's Day Gift Guide! Check it out for some great ideas.

  4. French Macarons (my favorite are the lemon macarons from Le Macaron and they ship anywhere!)
  5. Anna Sheffield Hazeline Solitaire
  6. Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac
  7. Casablanca
  8. J Crew Darling Cashmere Sweater
Minty Fresh

on me: top: forever 21 | boyfriend jeans: zara (similar) | shoes: aldo | bag: vintage louis vuitton | necklace: forever 21 | bracelets: tiffany & co, j crew
on lorelai: coat: target (cute one here) | dress: juicy couture | sneakers: zara kids

These Zara boyfriend jeans may not be flattering (beware the dreaded pancake butt) but boy are they comfy! Lo and I have found a new Gainesville haunt and spent the day playing at the park and perusing dream homes in this cutie-pants neighborhood. It's fun to feel like the quintessential housewife among the million dollar houses and (fabulously outfitted) ladies jogging groups of the suburbs. It's also a blast to have an exploring buddy (who's as obsessed with shoes as I am, see above) and great new jewels (the pave bracelet I mentioned here, and broke down and bought, is finally here!). What fun things are you getting into this week?
