After finding out that Mr. Jackson likes me best in green, I've made a conscious effort to purchase and wear more of it (heads up, emerald is 2013's Pantone color of the year!). The things we do for the people we love... This Zara dress (though easily wrinkled) has the slightest high-lo effect, making me feel a little more covered in the backside area. Bottom coverage is a must when you're chasing a two year old around all day! I added this sparkle belt to give my shapeless dress a more defined waist and we spent the afternoon strolling the neighborhood and making a fro-yo run!

It's almost time to head to the lake and I couldn't be more ready for the warm weather! I'm looking forward to long days with miss Lo, laying out on the beach, paddle boats and exploring. This year I'm finally becoming a grown up (which sounds totally grown up, right? thought so) and trading in my bikinis for a one piece. Hopefully it'll solve all sorts of wardrobe malfunctions and allow me to spend more time romping in the sand with little bit. By the way, J Crew has a great promotion going on allowing you to ship and return all swimwear for free this season! No more fluorescent light induced swim suit season panic attacks.

What's red, white & blue and totally seasonally inappropriate? This girl! We had a drastic change in weather the other day (72 in January? Sometimes Florida isn't so bad.) and I started out my morning with sequin shorts. However, it must have been a fluke because it was out with the sparkle and in with these Zara jeans by noon!

p.s. Let's talk white pants! How do you keep yours white? Whenever I wear them I flash back to the scene in Maid in Manhattan where they're gossiping about J Lo having to use Scotch Guard to keep her whites clean. By the end of the day this pair of white denim had coffee stains and a few strategically places scuff marks.
