Le Vie En Rose

on me: sunnies: forever 21 | sweater: forever 21 | floral skinnies: forever 21 | shoes: target (similar) | necklace: forever 21 | bag: louis vuitton | bracelets: tiffany & co, j crew

on lorelai: dress: gifted (cute one here) | leggings: target (similar) | studded cap-toe flats: zara mini (love these)

I can't decide if it's completely embarrassing or incredibly frugal to be dressed in head-to-toe Forever 21. At what age are you supposed to stop shopping there anyway? I find it incredibly easy to go in, pick up a few trendy pieces (these floral skinnies are WAY out of my comfort zone in the best way possible) and go on about my wardrobe. I was worried that patterned bottoms would make me appear fuller but I think hope the roll at the ankle helps to slim the line a little. How do you experiment with trendier items? Do you tiptoe into the water via la fast-fashion stores like Forever 21 or do you dive in and splurge on great quality pieces even though you may not grow to love them?

sidenote: Look how big my sweet girl is getting! She's turning into a legit little girl and it's so scary/exciting!

Happy Friday + weekly roundup

This week was eventful and a little stressful. I went totally outside of my comfort zone and made something I think Mr. Jackson is really going to love for Valentine's Day (fingers crossed), injured my back, made a miraculous recovery and got psyched to start running again. I hope you are totally at ease this weekend and can squeeze in a little time to prepare for love day (eek! one week left!). Find out what I've been reading (and loving!) on the internet this week, here:

Sarah Dickerson's fabulous his/hers home office tour on The Everygirl
an awesome feature on Emily Jackson's fierce mommy fashion sense at Loop du Loop

Chelsea & The City: Paris Edition

I chose the name 'Chelsea and The City' because I truly am a city girl at heart. Though I'm stuck in a small southern college town for the time being, I've always had a deep love for the many fabulous cities of this world. I've been lucky enough to travel from Paris to Tokyo, from LA to New York, etc and know in my heart that I'll find myself in a bustling city someday soon.

I'm starting a new series! I'm going to show you how I'd style my way through each of my favorite cities. Whether it be the perfect striped tee in the city de l'amour or the best pavement stompin' shoes for the streets of NYC, I hope you'll join me on this style journey! Want to see a specific city? Let me know!
