Getting Things Done

Errand running outfits are a delicate balance of comfort and polish. On the one hand, you want to be able to move comfortably through everywhere you need to be (I hit Target, Trader Joes and our local grocer, Publix, nearly every time we're out). On the other hand, you want to be presentable enough so that when you run into people you know (and you WILL run into people) you still feel confident enough to actually say, "hi" instead of ducking behind the nearest aisle. I find that leather leggings are the most practical piece that I own! They're dressed up without being stuffy and seriously comfy. Add a little bit of sparkle and all-purpose outerwear and you're good to go.

The weather here has been crazy (you must be tired of hearing that!) and we seem to have reached a stalemate with Mr. Winter. Whether or not it will ever turn to Spring, I don't know.

What's your go-to look for getting things crossed off your to-do list?

p.s. Don't forget to check out my Stella & Dot trunk show and make a purchase to be entered to win the Julep bangle!

This weekend we decided to venture outside of our normal routine (relaxing on Saturday and restocking on groceries/cleaning on Sunday) and check out Gainesville's botanical gardens. The weather was a little chilly but the gardens were absolutely stunning! I'm more of an indoor girl but sometimes it's nice to get out and trek around in nature, especially at the beginning of Spring when the flowers are starting to bloom.

Weekends call for easy outfits and I'm always glad to throw on a pair of loose fitting pants like these from Forever 21. Confession time? None of the trousers I own are actually cropped length, I'm just that tall. Thank God the ankle skimmer style is "in" for now! On another note, please excuse my disastrous static cling. Mr. Jackson's car is where nicely-fitting outfits go to die.

Have you gotten out into nature yet this Spring?

Be sure to check out my Stella & Dot trunk show!
I'm Hosting A Stella & Dot Trunk Show!

I've been offered the fabulous opportunity to host an online trunk show featuring Stella & Dot jewels, one of my favorite San Francisco lines of stunning and affordable jewelry. I'm pairing up with Stella & Dot stylist Katie Cramer (and blogger at Suburban Sparkle) to introduce you to the collection and give you a chance to snag a cute bracelet as part of a giveaway!

The pieces range from colorful statement necklaces to classic arm-party staples (I've been obsessing over the Renegade bracelet for over a year and I'm going to make this baby mine if it's the last thing I do!). I've rounded up a few of my favorite pieces (above) to help you get familiar with the collection. Check out Chelsea & The City's exclusive online pop-up shop to browse the entire line and discover your Stella & Dot style!

BONUS: Everyone who makes a purchase from my trunk show will be entered to win the Julep Bangle in the color of their choice!

Which pieces are you loving? Will you be shopping this exclusive event?

Event information:

The trunk show starts today (Mon, March 4th) at 9:00am and will run for three whole weeks! Be sure to shop the collection here and make sure that you see "Shopping Chelsea Tubbs's Trunk Show" in the top left corner.
