Yesterday we went to the circus for the second time this year (and it's only March)! We had a blast watching the elephants (my fave!), tight-rope walkers and lion tamers. It was the hottest day of the year, by far, and I basically melted waiting in line for tickets/snapping these photos. Never one to turn down a theme, I dressed for the event in full elephant regalia (complete with the subtle elephant print on my blouse and tusk accessories). It's so fun to be able to share things like the circus with Lorelai. Watching her awestruck face as the acrobats did their flips and tricks was the very best part of my day!

Sidenote: I steamed this shirt before I left the house, I swear. Whenever I ride in Mr. Jackson's car I immediately wrinkle and collect static cling.
Easter Prep

Now that St. Patrick's Day is officially behind us, I'm free to start obsessing over planning Easter! Easter is a fabulous holiday, if only for the pretty pastels and fistfuls of Russel Stover's Marshmallow Eggs (Funny story, I've been obsessed with these delicious treats since I was little. So obsessed that I freak out and search every grocery store/Target/Walgreens/etc every year at the first sight of Easter displays. Last year, after not being able to find them anywhere, I may or may not have seriously considered buying them in bulk on Amazon. We've gone through two cartons so far this year, ha!). I love the airy, Spring-y-ness of Easter. In fact, Lorelai is practicing her egg finding skills right now with her little basket and 100 plastic eggs.

This year we'll be doing the traditional Easter Bunny basket unloading/egg hunt/brunch combo and I'd love to be wearing this gorgeous shift dress and neon tweed jacket. The holiday is the perfect time to bring out your florals (like these fab Liberty print heels and a cute dress for Lorelai) and greet the season head on.

We're trying out these sequin eggs this year! What are you planning this Easter?

Going Green

Here's to hoping you had a fabulous St. Patrick's Day weekend (and didn't get pinched)! I'm not much for green beer or corned beef but I did celebrate the holiday in style with this emerald Zara dress and a shared Shamrock Shake.

I picked up this silk stunner on my last trip home to Germany and it's so perfect for Spring! There's something so much cooler about International Zara vs. the Zara in my nearest mall (I first visited the store on a trip to Spain in 2004 and have been hooked ever since and don't even get me started on Zara Japan!). Maybe the pieces are merchandised better or maybe I just like being able to say "I picked this up in [enter cool destination here]".

p.s. Does anyone have any good tips for cleaning suede/buck leather purses? I used to rock this bag all the time (and I still love it to pieces), but it has blue jean residue on the sides and that ruins the look for me.

Welcome to the new week my pretties, it's going to be a great one!
