It Aint Easy Being Green

peplum tank: forever 21 | shorts: j crew c/o beso | glitter sandals: target | bag: zara (similar) | cuff: forever 21 (similar) | bracelets: bip & bop c/o, j crew

The last time I wore these shorts (see that very similar post here, sorry about the repeat!) I predicted they would be my go-to for the upcoming warm weather and boy was I right! It's really heating up here and these butterfly bottoms (I'm pitching 'butterfly bottom' to the mister as my next official nickname) are perfect. I can't get enough of the sweet print and they pair well with almost everything. What do you think about the head-to-toe emerald? I've been trying to incorporate the "color of the year" into my wardrobe and this monochrome look was a fun way to go green.

In other news, this Aztec inspired cuff bracelet totally makes me feel like Wonder Woman! You didn't see it, but right before these photos I did a few twirls in a classic red phonebooth and exited a style blogger.
Happy Friday! + weekly roundup

Happy Mother's Day weekend my sweet friends! This week has been a little "blah" but I'm looking forward to some quality time and maybe breakfast in bed (ahem!?) on my second Mother's Day this Sunday. I hope you make some time to show your mom (& the mother of your children!) just how much they mean to you! Being somebody's momma is such a wonderful experience but a little "Thank you mom, I'm really grateful for everything you do," is always a nice treat.

Here's what I've been obsessed with this week:

a sweet and romantic beach maternity session from Style Me Pretty Living
The Pink Peonies doing "hat hair" proud
this stunning vacay outfit post over at Stephanie Sterjovski
a fun video on styling your favorite chambray from Damsel in Dior
& the PERFECT Mother's Day breakfast in bed!

Spring Style Sessions: Pastels

jacket: h&m (similar) | romper: zara (similar) | bag: zara (similar) | mirrored heels: target | necklace: jewelmint c/o | bracelets: j crew, bip & bop c/o

for Molly's outfit details check out Sir Paul & Co!

Molly and I are bringing you a little bit of pastel love despite the cloudy weather here in Florida this week. Our final Spring Style Session (it's almost time for Summer, can you believe it?!) is all about light, airy shades. I love how we both chose to incorporate the trend in an easy, noncommittal way. A pastel jacket is perfect for transitional weather and Molly's pretty pink and my metallic mint are such fun colors!

I scored this jacket for 10 bucks (!) at h&m because it was hanging in the 'sale' section by accident. Gotta love shoppers karma!

I've totally loved collaborating with the gorgeous Molly and look forward to a fun blogger friendship! Be sure to check out her blog, Sir Paul & Co, for more details and her fun posts.

Lorelai even got in on the trend and rocked her pastel blue with a pop of neon! "Aww man, I need a haircut!"
