Denim (or chambray) is basically my favorite thing. Acid wash, light wash, destroyed, sand-blasted... I'll take it! I recently had a thought (arguably one of my more brilliant ones), Why don't I just buy every single chambray item that Forever 21 carries? Yeah, my wardrobe would be a sea of blue and you might mistake me for a cattle rancher, but I'll always match and it would be so easy to get dressed.

A candian tuxedo (denim on the top AND on the bottom) is one of my favorite things to wear on days when I just don't have the time to fuss with layers and print mixing. I threw on this easy look about five minutes before leaving in the morning to take Lo to school and run our errands for the day.

It's June! With Memorial Day behind us and warmer weather in full swing I've got Summer on the brain. I've been day-dreaming of days at the lake, picnics in the park and weekend roadtrips to the beach. Summer activities call for easy pieces that can be mixed and matched. Happy Friday my lovelies! I'm sorry for the late post today but this week has been a roller coaster. Shall we start with the good? Mr. Jackson and I celebrated our fifth anniversary and the day could not have been more perfect. We weren't able to make the weekend trip that I planned (stupid work schedules!) but we had an excellent evening complete with a little wildlife reserve exploring, the yummiest healthy meal and a trip to the movies... and that's when the bad started. Apparently I managed to get stung by a bee during our adventure. Fortunately, I'm doing well. I'll be spending the weekend laid up in bed with a swollen leg and a hefty dose of Benedryl.

A little back-story for your reading pleasure: I'm terribly allergic to bees. When I was younger I was stung by a wasp and went into shock. Fun, right? No.

I hope this weekend has a little bit of exploring in store for you, just beware of those bees!
