Happy hump day my lovelies! This week feels like it's been a marathon and we're only halfway to the weekend. What better cure for midweek melancholia than a little shopping? I've been in the mood for blue and gold and with temperatures continuing to rise (we're talking high-90s here in Florida) I've got shorts, sandals and breezy day dresses on my mind. Not quite as hot where you're at, how fabulous is that Tory Burch jacket?!

It rained nonstop last week! Hurricane season started off with a bang and tropical storm Andrea rolled through town leaving soaked sidewalks and MAJOR humidity in her wake. Since I'm still sans Hunter boots (I can't make up my mind ya'll, which color do I choose?) I opted for the only other pair of weather appropriate shoes that I own... combat boots. Military footwear calls for a matching utility jacket but since I can't let any look become too tough, I paired the manlier pieces with a dash of sparkle and a punch of pink!

A little sidenote: I try not to blog about matters of faith too often because I don't want to alienate anybody but lately I've been building my relationship with God and I'm so happy! This little cross ring is such a fun reminder to do good everyday.

This little girl knows what she's doing ya'll, check out those poses! Obviously, trekking around with Mommy (and her tripod) has taught Lorelai a thing or two about style blogging... This (almost) two year old is the sweetest, smartest, funniest little bit. Lo is such a girly girl... way girlier than me (which is definitely saying something)! She wakes up and asks for her shoes/purse and WILL NOT leave the house without this little gold bracelet. What can I say? I think she may have heard the phrase "arm candy" one too many times.
