Happy Independence Day my lovelies! Just a quick note (and a sweet little girl smile) to wish you an amazing Fourth of July. I'm so very blessed and lucky to live in such a wonderful country! A country where I can nurture this little corner of the internet, am free to love and believe what I choose, etc. I hope that today is filled with fireworks both in the sky and in your hearts!
I'm rounding out this week of patriotic inspiration with a few delicious choices for tonight's festivities. Summer flavors are my favorite... so fresh and vibrant and there's nothing better than a hot dog (dressed up with sweet hot relish) and corn on the cob on the fourth! Finish it off with something sweet and in-season and you're golden...What are you making/eating to celebrate 'MERICA?
Since tomorrow is July 4th (aka my favorite day of Summer) I figured you'd all be doing something FABULOUS to celebrate! You might even benefit from a few last minute outfit ideas... Whether you've planned a backyard BBQ with family, watching the fireworks with your beau or you're watching a hometown Independence Day parade (like Lo and I will be doing) it's always fun to inject a little festivity into your look. Instead of going full-on stars & stripes (which, let's face it, I would totally enjoy), this year I'll be looking to add a little subtle Americana. Chambray, navy stripes and pops of red are all great ways to go! Since we're still in the midst of a week-long thunderstorm I'll probably be sporting my rainboots (are you sick of them yet?) but feel free to substitute your favorite sandals or vintage sneaks.
