Let's be real: most of my time is spent running around with my two year old, Lorelai. We go to school three days a week, run errands and try to fit in a little play time here and there. While I love dressing up and I would much rather don cute skirts and pile on the accessories, practical pieces often find themselves as part of my daily rotation. Enter the "mom uniform". Washable items that I haven't invested too much money in are best and I don't worry about accessorizing.

I wore this particular outfit to take Lorelai to see Monster's University last week. We loaded up on popcorn and were able to make it 90% through the movie without walking the aisles... score!

The skies of Florida have been rainy for weeks and with the downpour comes my desire to explore a different rainy city. London seems like the perfect cozy escape! I love the sophisticated air about London and have a feeling that my obsession for English breakfast tea, Big Ben and Union Jack would fit in nicely. I'd spend the day flirting with the Queen's guard, riding the tube and handbag shopping at Harrods with Kate Moss (hey, a girl can dream...)!

Classic looks and chicer-than-chic accents make London the perfect getaway for style lovers and where better to spend a drizzly afternoon than browsing the high street and a few department stores like Harrods?! Happy Friday my dears! I'm having another roller-coaster of a week and am so glad the weekend is finally here. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try to stay positive, life just gets the better of you. I've spent the last few days in and out of doctor's offices trying to get a few things under control, Mr. Jackson is heavy in the middle of a job search and my parents are relocating stateside after seven years in Germany. I'm hoping to spend this weekend day-dreaming of the things that calm me (anyone want to take a trip to a sleepy ocean town?).
