Happy Friday lovelies. I feel like I always say this, but this week has been crazy! All of our praying and hoping (thank you for keeping us in your thoughts) has finally paid off... Mr. Jackson was offered a job yesterday! We had been searching since December and the right thing finally came along. The big changes that I've been teasing about the last few weeks are these: Lo and I will be spending a few months in Los Angeles while Mr. Jackson gets things set up in... Alabama. The South just doesn't want us to leave, ya'll, and I'm okay with that!

Some books (and movies) just really stick with you. Eat, Pray, Love, a novel-turned-Julia Roberts hit is not only full of beautiful saturated color and breathtaking locations but a poignant message about nurturing your soul. In the film Elizabeth Gilbert, fresh from a divorce and on a journey of self-discovery, travels to Italy, India and Bali (who didn't watch this movie and immediately search around for their passport?!). What happens next is a whirlwind of style inspiration: Julia's character learns the joy of doing nothing (and eating pizza/buying bigger jeans), the power of prayer and the importance of loving and being loved. Rita, from Coast With Me, is one of the funniest girls I follow. Not only does she have an awesome personality (she even raps!) but she always shares the sweetest outfits. Her style is what I like to think of as "preppy meets California-cool" and she has a serious love for olive colored skinnies (whenever I see a pair, I think of Rita!).
