Ice Cream is kind of a big deal in my family! When I was growing up, and we would visit my dad's parents here in California, dinner was always followed by a scoop of mint 'n' chip. I've since done away with nightly frozen treats but the occasional strawberry cone is my favorite way to cheat. Also, nothing beats the smell of an old fashioned ice cream parlor... nothing!

Our California adventure is drawing to a close and I'm going to miss cool sandy beaches (the pacific ocean is chilly folks) and clear blue skies. After all, the cure for anything is salt water - sweat, tears or the sea. This little anchor tee was dying to take a trip to the marina and the weather lately has been perfect for watching the sailboats skim the water.

p.s. Since I completely blanked yesterday... happy weekend! I can't wait to be home (and finished with this closet remix) so I can get back into a more regular posting schedule.

October has been such a blessing! There have been some pumpkins (okay, a lot of pumpkins), some visiting with our California grandma and grandpa and a trip to blogging bootcamp. We've had such a blast making the West Coast our home for the month but I'm so anxious to get back to Mr. Jackson and really settle into our Alabama routine.

With Halloween behind us, I'm gearing up for Thanksgiving and the Holidays... count on a few fun posts coming soon! I want to know, how was your October?
