Valentine's Day is tomorrow, can you believe it? 2014 is definitely flying by and this particular holiday (no matter how many times I penciled it in on various calendars) kind of sneaked up on me. Since Mr. Jackson grabbed his keys and whizzed past in a mad dash to make it to a few shops yesterday, it's probably safe to assume that there a few of you (or a few of your hunnies) who have yet to find the perfect trinket for Friday. Today I'm coming at you from a pile of tissues, without a stitch of makeup and (let's be honest here) a little loopy from all of the Nyquil. Over the weekend Lo and I caught a nasty cold... Mr. Jackson's momma left in the wee hours of the morning yesterday (her visit was a smash by the way) and I've been laid up and on the mend ever since.

Being sick is the worst, especially when you would much rather be celebrating love day week and I'm so sorry for the lack of fun posts this Valentine's holiday. I had so much planned but apparently flu season had something else in mind for me! Hopefully I'll be able to come out of it quickly and rally for a little romance on Friday... you never know what wonders vapor rub can do!

This week is all about love, a sentiment I can definitely get behind, but I'm so glad that I found something festive (from J.Crack of course) in a shade other than pink or red. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for pops of color and I'm definitely a fan of holiday spirit but I'm loving the Valentine's Day options that fit more easily into my closet (like this one).
