Home Tour: Wit & Delight

home-tour-kate-arrends-wit-and-delight Kate Arends is the creator behind the blog Wit & Delight (one of my favorite daily reads) and an amazingly talented designer. Since she's a pro at mixing minimal (read: masculine) pieces with an airy and natural aesthetic, her Minnesota apartment has been a major inspiration while trying to style a home with my mister. Lots of bright white make the space seem expansive and cozy textures / inventive ways of bringing the outdoors in give her home a wonderful lived in quality. Loving her space as much as I am?

Happy Friday! + weekly roundup

happy-friday-man-repeller-superga-jeanne-dumas-coveteur-jessica-comingore Happy Friday! This week was filled with fun projects and plenty of family time... in other words, it was (almost) perfect. I met with a wonderfully talented new friend to chat about flexing my creative muscles (more about that soon), answered a few awesome interview questions for a cool project and even fit in time to play a board game with the fam. Saturday and Sunday have plenty of work in store (I'm still catching up on Washington D.C. posts... oops) and later today we're headed to a local art space to catch some live music.

Here's what I loved on the web this (busy) week:

Jessica Comingore's stunning home tour on The Everygirl a look inside Jeanne Damas' Parisian closet via The Coveteur The Man Repeller & Superga team up & the best video on the internet (I've watched it three times)

To Mule... or not?

ZARA-MULES Something has come over me... styles that used to repel me (and not in a good Man Repeller way) now have me clamoring for my wallet, wild eyed. Ugly footwear has staked a claim in my heart and I'm all over Birks, working girl sneakers and now... mules.

Love it or hate it, mules are celebrating their 15 minutes of fame and I'm tempted to scoop up a pair for myself. White with gold details are perfect for Spring and I'd be reaching for these ones from Zara year round. The chunky heel would be great dressing down sexier pieces and I can totally see them with boyfriend jeans on casual days.

So, where do you stand? To mule or not to mule?
