I hadn't planned on posting today (it's been a busy week of shooting and working on some fun upcoming features and frankly, I'm wiped) but I just knew I had to share a few sneak peeks from this week's editorial! On Tuesday our little tribe of artists came together on this concept and I couldn't be happier with the preview of finished images to come. With a handmade sail and the most perfect sailboat, our subjects set out on an adventure.

This weekend we've got plans to hit up the local Food Truck Rally (our favorite family night!), get a ton of rest and do a little more outfit shooting for next week. What are your Saturday + Sunday plans?

Before this year I went to great lengths shying away from the outdoors (I'm naturally fair, inclined to overheat and totally attractive to those damned mosquitoes... not a winning combo in the Summer).  However, something has changed in me and I'm dying to get outside, work in the dirt and nurture a few plants to life. Since we're still apartment livin', my dreams of a thriving garden are put on hold but I find that getting out and getting into a little nature is a surefire way to perk me right up.

I'm spending more time in the sun this Summer (chasing sunsets with friends + my little family) so a lightweight romper and a good sun hat have become essential!
