It's only Tuesday and this week is already starting to fill up with fun trips, ballet classes and CATC meetings... how did that happen?! Since the last days of Summer are definitely getting away from me I'm making an effort not to spend too much time in front of the screen. I was scrolling through the archives of Kelli's blog recently and stumbled upon this gem, "It’s good to get inspired... but if searching for that inspiration is taking up more time than your actual process of creating, something is wrong." REALITY. CHECK. So, I'm taking a breather today but feel free to check out my (nearly) constant stream of consciousness via Pinterest.

p.s. Do check in but don't get caught in the time sucking black hole that is content curating. Create something instead!

A Matter of Style: No'Ala Magazine's September Issue

photos by Click Photo Designs

h&m sweater and rings | j.crew scuba skirt | zara sandals (on MAJOR sale)

Well friends, the time has finally arrived and I can share a little something that has been brewing on the sidelines for months. No'Ala Magazine has (so kindly) included me in their September Style issue as one of Northern Alabama's trendsetters(!). I had a fantastic experience chatting with the editorial team and Sarah Brewer was kind enough to send along the photos that didn't quite make it into the glossy.

What is one piece of clothing you couldn't go without?

I couldn't do without a great pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. They're a staple in my wardrobe.

What would you never be caught dead in?

I don't believe in fashion "don'ts"... I'll try anything once. Head-to-toe bright colors definitely don't feel like 'me' though.

What is your go-to accessory?

I love dainty jewelry. I always pile on way too many gold rings.

What decade or era of style do you wish would make a comeback in terms of clothing?

I'm excited that the 90s are back in style right now but I'd love to see the ladylike silhouettes of the 1950s.

What are 3 things in your closet you could never get rid of?

The perfect pair of leather pants (they're so much more versatile than you'd think)
A vintage Chanel bag gifted to me by my momma
Strappy nude sandals

What style or item of clothing is timeless to you?

I think neutral colors (like black and white) will always be in style. I never feel bad about investing in classic pieces like a good trench coat or well-fitting jeans because they're timeless.
