Chelsea Lately

With all of the sponsored posts happening last week (it was a blast but I'm a little wiped out from producing so much content), I figured you guys might appreciate a more intentional catch-up for this space. So much has been going on recently and those of you who aren't following me on Instagram may not know that Mr. Jackon and I are finally engaged! After almost seven years (half of them spent referring to him as either my husband or fiance to prying old ladies or when it felt like "girlfriend" wasn't quite the right word), a beautiful and crazy (see above) little girl and a thousand little moments that convinced me he was the one, I couldn't be happier to take this step with this amazing man. This space won't be turning into a wedding blog (for sure) but I'd love to know if you're interested in occasionally following along this journey with us!

Aside from finding the accessory I've been in search of my whole life, I'm still hard at work homeschooling Lorelai, preparing to open a new studio space, knee-deep in an exciting project with my sweetest friends and reveling in my favorite time of the year. This quote seems more than appropriate lately...

Never apologize for burning too brightly or collapsing into yourself every night. That is how galaxies are made.
— Tyler Kent White

Weekly Favorites featuring Frye & Belk

frye "reina" bootie in camel c/o
cape, hat, tote, fall gourds, skirt, blanket

This week I received this pair of ankle boots from Belk's #belkscene and I just couldn't wait to start styling them! Before I could put together a look for myself, I whipped up a few of my favorite items of the week that I think compliment the pair so nicely. Belk's Frye Week celebration (bringing together bloggers to showcase unique "Frye style") ends today but I'll be rocking this pair indefinitely.

Since we're right in the middle of Autumn, I've got apple orchards, pumpkin patches and weekend picnics on my mind and what could more more perfect for all of my favorite activities than a little camel colored leather? One of the fall/winter trends that I've been loving, the blanket coat, seems like it's here to stay and I'm on the hunt for the perfect version to pair with leather, wool hats and booties all season.

p.s. This pair of shoes was gifted to me by Belk, however, all opinions and words are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make Chelsea & The City possible. It is my policy to only select goods and companies that I truly believe in and wish to share with you.

Fall Shoe Trend: White Out

converse "all star low" c/o off broadway shoe warehouse | zara leather pants | j.crew sweater | pjk anorak (similar)

I just can't get enough of the slight chill that's brewing in the air! This is the first day I'm bringing my leather pants out of my closet and I couldn't be happier. Though there's something to be said for sun dresses and shorts, fall dressing has always been my favorite. Give me a few layers and I'm one happy girl!

I've always lacked good sneakers and I'm beyond thrilled to add this pair of white-on-whites to my collection. They definitely lend a playful and casual air to an outfit that could otherwise be classified as "dressy".

A huge thank you to Off Broadway for letting me play with my favorite trends this fall!
