Happy Friday! + weekly roundup

Happy Friday friends! This week was a fun but cold one. We were able to fit in a personal style shoot and a quick trip to Birmingham (where I met with Design by Kadie to start planning wedding details and fellow stylist Caitlyn Goebel) before we were iced-in. Yesterday was definitely a snow day minus the snow and I am dying for Spring to finally come around.

Where the week was laid back and slow this weekend promises to be jam packed with creativeness. I'm spending Sunday at my favorite farmhouse surrounded by pretty pieces by Alabama Chanin and then heading off for New Orleans with White Rabbit Studios (and my whole little family).

Belk and Chelsea & The City Girls Night Out

Belk has provided me with compensation for this post and my appearance at the event. However, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Belk is always one of my first stops during a day of shopping and with events like GNO cropping up all over the south, it's the perfect time to stop by your local store. I'm excited to be hosting a Girls' Night Out party (complete with a DJ, treats and a ton of fun) at Huntsville's Bridge Street Town Center on March 12th from 5:30 - 8PM. I'll be sharing personal styling advice, a giveaway every hour and an exclusive discount (20% off with very few brand exclusions) and I can't wait to share my outfit by Kiind Of and Towne & Reese. Can't wait to meet you!

For more information, check out GNO here.

p.s. If you're not local there might be an event near you:

Atlanta, GA (Phipps Plaza)
Birmingham, AL (Riverchase)
Birmingham, AL (Summit)
Franklin, TN (CoolSprings Galleria)
Dallas, TX (Galleria Dallas)
... and more

"We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another, unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, affix us in the present. We are made of layers, cells, constellations" - Anais Nin

There is nothing that speaks to my soul quite like having a hand in creating these magical moments behind the camera. A lot goes into conceptualizing, styling and executing a shoot but seeing your vision come to life makes all of the hard work so incredibly worth it.

I was lucky enough to connect with Ivan Diaz Photography last week and together we were able to dream up something so raw and organically beautiful. Flexing creative muscles in this way (creating things with other makers and experiencing as many people nurturing their gifts as possible) has been such a journey of growth lately. I feel so very blessed!
