Finding The Dress with Rue De Seine (featured on GWS)

Like most brides, I looked forward to the "finding the dress" stage of planning a wedding more than any other. Something about row upon row of beautiful lace gowns just makes my heart soar (not quite as high as the day I went from "girlfriend" to "fiance" but it was a close second) and the racks at Lovely Bride LA filled with Rue De Seine's brand new Nomadic Love collection were no exception.

To find my dream dress, I traveled all the way to sunny Los Angeles with my bridesmaid and photographer (Sleepy Fox Photography) to meet with the designers of Rue De Seine. The ladies of Lovely Bride made us feel so welcome in their fun space and I was able to view the entire Nomadic Love Collection (so good!) before it’s launch in September. I'm sharing the entire dreamy experience and my tips for finding your dress on our series on Green Wedding Shoes today!

I’ve already picked my gown (and can’t wait to reveal our wedding photos in October!) but would LOVE your opinion. Which stunning Rue De Seine dress would you go with?!

Visit our "down the aisle" series on Green Wedding Shoes (click here) for my tips for finding your gown.

Happy Friday! + weekly roundup

Happy Friday friends. I haven't been so excited to greet a Friday in such a long time! Today I'm Birmingham bound to hang with Free People and be a guest at their urban farm dinner party. I can't wait to share all of the fun projects I've been working on with FP this week!

In other news, I'm sorry for the radio silence this week! I wrote a "ten things" post twice and each time it disappeared into the internet, never to be seen again. I took it as a sign to scale back and get a little wedding planning done and was able to cross a few things off of my list. I can't believe there's just shy of three months left until I'm officially Mrs. Jackson!

2 Boho Braids For Summer

I always fall into the same old hair routine... wash and go without styling. This summer, bohemian braids are everywhere and I'm excited to switch things up a little! My friend Twiggy Romei came over recently and helped me dream up two (pretty simple) styles for all of you boho babes.

We started with a fishtail. Be sure to really pull the pieces of your braid apart for a messier, more relaxed look. The more texture and movement in your hair, the more interesting your braid will look!

Next we created this half up/half down look that I fell in love with! As a girl who likes to let her locks flow freely in the wind, I was happy to add a little interest with two tiny plaits but leave the majority of my 'do down. Twiggy did a great job getting me to step out of my hair comfort zone!

A big thank you to Twiggy and Jessy for spending a Sunday playing with my hair! It was such a fun treat!
