August Mood: Endless Summer

aquazzura sandals & marysia bathing suit

Summer is coming to an end... Although I'm usually counting down the days to autumn by the time August rolls around, I'm feeling like this season has passed way too quickly. I'm feeling the need to hold on to every single moment of sunshine before it finally gives way to fall foliage. Three cheers for an endless summer full of filtered light flooding your eyes, sticky sweet beads of sweat, the spray of the ocean and the warmth of the sun!

Happy Friday! + weekly roundup

Happy Friday sweet friends. I cant believe it's almost August!! Why does the Summer always pass so quickly? Yesterday we attended preschool orientation and our little wild child starts school (and resumes ballet class) on Tuesday. We're officially in the era of carpooling and lunchboxes and my heart is both excited for Lorelai's new adventures and mourning my sweet little baby's growth. We'll spend this weekend shopping for tiny backpacks, filling little pencil cases to the brim with tools for creating (I always loved back-to-school shopping!) and loving on each other.

Here's to the next chapter!

Words can't explain how much I love these shots of my little family taken by my sweet friend Meghan from M.Newsom Photography. As much as I love a good styled family shoot (and I DO love those) sometimes it's so refreshing to just be with friends and capture life as it occurs naturally. I am so obsessed with the genuine smiles, unscripted twirls and looks of love in these dreamy captures and so thankful that we'll get to cherish them forever.

Amidst all of the wedding craziness (sorry for all of the nuptial themed blog posts lately but that's what our world consists of right now), it was so nice to escape to this darling greenhouse, pick up a few plants and spend time with my favorite people.
