It took a few days but I'm finally feeling back to normal in my blogging routine. The jet lag has passed, my inbox is clean and I've even started falling into my good old online shopping habits.

Morocco left an impression on my heart (and on my wishlist)... that's for sure. I fell completely in love with the amazing artistry in every single item produced in Marrakech (stay tuned for home updates because we brought home quite the bounty of wares) and have felt a definite shift in things I'm currently craving. If only in my own mind tassels, African artifacts (juju hats for the win!), natural textures and authentic touches are all the rage.

Have your spring/summer travels influenced the newest things in your closet or home?!

Vacation is all about the (coveted) leisurely wake-up, precious extra moments under the covers each day and being able to explore beautiful new spaces without leaving "home" (aka your hotel or air bnb). Nothing beats a slow morning and I definitely had my fair share of them in our magical riad in Marrakech. I can't wait to share every single detail of our incredible escape but what better to set the tone for vacation than a relaxed morning taking in the nooks and crannies of this wonderful place?

I'm so excited to finally share this dreamy shoot! The idea to play with BHLDN accessories (like that stunning caplet and super cool body jewelry) came to me early last fall when the leaves were crisp and the air was cool. I was so happy to approach my friend Ashley about it and even more pleased that she agreed to help me capture everything.

As things often do, the project evolved from a fleeting thought into a full-blown love story centered around a whimsical and intimate "elopement" in the most perfect vintage camper. We envisioned our beautiful pair as a couple of renegade musicians in the midst of a whirlwind romance. Without the need for the pomp and circumstance that usually accompanies weddings, our lovers retreated to the sweetest little camper (this air bnb is a gem!) and spent the morning baking their own wedding cake, serenading each other and ultimately tying the knot all alone. 

I love how special all of the little details turned out (the incredible tambourine hand lettered by Salt + Paperie sits atop my work-space now) and how genuine each laugh and smile between our rad models were. This shoot is one of my favorites to date!
