School starts in just a week and a half over here and I'm so ready for it all. The excitement of a new year, brand new gear and all the cute clothes... I almost feel like I'M starting first grade right alongside Lo. We've got our backpack packed and waiting in the wings and I'm thinking a big closet overhaul is on the agenda for tomorrow. Even though most of our school clothes will be carry-overs from the Summer (think shorts and tank tops that'll help make those 90 degree December days bearable), I really want to add a few new things like grown up looking jumpsuits and easy linen dresses.

All of our belongings are unpacked and have found homes in the nooks and crannies around the house but something is still missing.... Lately I've been scouring the web for new art to add to our collection and prop up against a few bare walls. Society 6 is always one of the first places I scour for new, affordable prints by independent artists (and even friends!). They have a huge collection of cool designs and I have fun kicking back and scrolling through all of the new art.

I collect muses like some people collect stamps. I always find myself discovering new, innovative ladies and pouring over their content for inspiration... saving snaps and soaking up good vibes. Ally Walsh, a model for a few of my favorites such as Christy Dawn and Jesse Kamm and co-creator of Canyon Coffee (with her partner Casey Wojtalewicz), is no exception. She's been one-to-watch on my feed for a while and I'm struck with so much inspiration every time I see her home.

Ally and Casey set up their home base on Venice beach and have dedicated their time to a holistic lifestyle filled with simplicity, great cups of coffee and un-fussy beauty. My favorite part of their space is the fact that it seems so approachable and achievable. You'll find no crazy showrooms here, just lived-in goodness in all its glory. Collected corners and the airiest kitchen I've ever seen... effortless.
