Hello internet, it’s been quite a long time since we last spoke. I’ve been living gleefully (and sometimes stressfully) in our little newborn cocoon for the past couple of months. With the early days behind us, I’m finally just beginning to dip my toes back into the waters of sharing things here and elsewhere online. I’m feeling rejuvenated and even more drawn to this space than before! This home tour, a stunning ode to Boheme Goods’ proprietress Sarah Shabacon, has been sitting in my drafts for some time and I could see no better way to ease back into the routine.

With her distinct sense of style and a unique ability to be unabashedly real with her audience, Sarah quickly rose up the ranks of social media stars and now tops my list of Instagrammers worth following. Her home, a carefully collected, beach-inspired hideaway in Canada, is unlike any other with its thrifted decor and enviable vibes. This month’s playlist took a little while longer to share than I might have liked but here it is! I’ve been really relying on tunes to get me through the last couple of weeks of this pregnancy and there are some really great ones on this particular monthly soundtrack.

I’m kind of obsessed with Florence Welch right now (when am I not?!) and I’ve had “Hunger” stuck in my head for weeks! In fact, the whole High As Hope album is World Series level great and this performance is INSANE.

It’s September and that can only mean one thing… we’re almost there! Our little girl is due in October and it’s all getting pretty real over here. Here’s hoping that September flies by and continues to be restful and healthy. To be honest, the month thus far has been a bit of an emotional roller coaster (I talked about it a little on Instagram here) and I could use a bit of re-centering and re-focusing on the amazing journey the next couple of months will be.

How’s your September so far? What are you feeling inspired by?

Also, what are you hoping to see on the blog? Going full-on freelance has definitely been a learning experience ad unfortunately, this space has suffered a little. These days it seems like I go through the motions and share a monthly moodboard, a soundtrack, and a few 10 Things posts here and there. Most of my creative energy goes into crafting weekly posts for SF Girl By Bay, penning things for Glitter Guide, and bridal industry work but I will never abandon this space completely. I’m feeling pulled to refresh things here (and I owe you a big feature that I’ve had hanging in the wings for a while) but I’m not entirely sure how to go about breathing new creative life into everything. Any advice?
