Happy Friday! + weekly roundup

Happy Friday friends! This week started out a little stormy (literally... we spent Monday waiting out the tornado sirens) but things quickly improved. We're finally feeling at home in our routine again and have been working on fun projects left and right. This week included a couple of fall crafts,  some exploring and tonight we have plans to attend an outdoor concert with our little tribe of friends. Don't forget to sneak in a little extra Fall this weekend, we're halfway through one of the best months of the year!

Here's what I loved reading this week:

Denise Bovee's beautiful family via Zara
a tour of Nili Lotan's studio on the J.Crew blog
Treasure & Travels decorates their studio for fall
an interview with Free People's stylist of the week and one of my favorite daily reads, New Darlings
& a little reminder to "not give a shit"

Today I'm appearing on my good friend Sara's blog, A Dose of Pretty. When Sara approached me to participate in her "Mommies Behind the Blog" series I was flattered. A longtime fan of the feature, I've taken so much inspiration and reassurance from other creative mommas and their unique stories. Whats more, the post finally gave me an excuse to play dress up in a giant dreamy cotton field (be still my styling heart!) with Lorelai. It's such a blessing to capture Lo as she is during this fun and special age of three!

A huge thank you to Sara for having me on her truly beautiful site! To read about motherhood, life and the future of Chelsea & The City, please check out the interview here.

Happy Friday! + weekly roundup

Happy Friday friends! Do you ever have weeks that just couldn't have been better? Our return to Huntsville was a happy one and I spent the adjustment period (still working on getting back into our daily routine after two weeks away) creating floral crowns & pretty pictures, road tripping with the girls to Nashville and in meetings for a few seriously exciting projects. We even woke up bright and early today and are off to the pumpkin patch. I can't wait to share what has been bubbling up behind the scenes of Chelsea & The City! In the meantime, here's what I've loved this week:

a gorgeous rooftop dinner with Elizabeth Cauvel and Dan Wu
Free People presents: A Letter
the simplest and most stunning editorial for White Magazine
Ariele Alasko's beautiful home and cool woodworking via Boots & Pine
& a quirky new band I'm crazy about
