Another Monday already?! The weekend was wonderful (as evidenced in this Instagram photo) but I was hardly prepared for the start of the week. Lorelai is home from school for Spring break but since I'm working at Finery a few days this week we'll be staying close to home. Here's to discovering ways to keep her occupied for ten whole days! In addition to the Spring Break run around, last night I stayed up WAY past my bedtime (5:30AM... am I 16 again?!) and I was in major need of coffee and a few hours spent online window shopping in bed. Thankfully this meant a brand new weekly wishlist.

Three cheers for the weekend! This week crawled by and although my work week isn't over until Saturday afternoon, I'm excited to make the most out of our downtime. Lorelai is finally on Spring Break (there will be a ton of walks to the park in our near future) and our space is in need of some MAJOR Spring cleaning. This weekend I've got plans to make plans (don't you just love a good list making session?!), get a little work done around the house, head out for a date night with my guy and work on a few blog posts for the upcoming week. There's really nothing like a couple days of sorting your shit out.

Whew... I'm wiped out! I've been in the middle of a painting frenzy lately and slowly our house is turning white (err... "Bohemian Lace"... how fitting). There's something so calming and crisp about white walls and I love that they make the perfect blank slate for interesting accents and layered textures. Initially, when we first rented our new house, it was a drab shade of "renters beige". Even though painting is forbidden in our lease (please don't hate me landlady, I promise it'll be so much more open and we'll paint it back to beige when we leave), I knew I'd have to give the walls a couple of coats of fresh white to even begin to feel settled into our space. Here's to white walls and making them our own!
