There are some things I used to hate as a child that I now love. For example: most veggies, classic black & white movies, country music and the color blue. It seems like I just can't get enough of the color blue lately! Blue shoes, blue sweater, blue jewelry? I'll take 'em all.

nothin' but blue skies

Putting It Together: Gallery Wall

baby giraffe by the animal print shop, sailor tee by note to self print shop, small gold love by made by girl, half a dozen donuts by ann shen, black dots by made by girl, bobby pins by rifle paper co, grace not perfection by emily ley, for like ever by super rural, braid #8 by elizabeth mayville

Choosing the perfect art for our new place has been a daunting task but I'm finally starting to settle on an ideal formula: equal parts gold, graphic black & white and whimsy! What's hanging on your walls says so much about who you are and I'm hoping to inject a little fun and inspiration into our home with these prints. I'm planning to decorate with art by bloggers who inspire me, a few of my favorite designers and one fabulous girl I met at Freutcamp (Ann Shen). I can't wait to get out my tool belt and start hanging those gilded frames!

Ice Cream is kind of a big deal in my family! When I was growing up, and we would visit my dad's parents here in California, dinner was always followed by a scoop of mint 'n' chip. I've since done away with nightly frozen treats but the occasional strawberry cone is my favorite way to cheat. Also, nothing beats the smell of an old fashioned ice cream parlor... nothing!
