TGIF! It's a girls weekend and Lorelai and I are stoked to be headed to the movies, working on the house and spending some good quality time. With all of the sad things happening in the country right now, the best course of action is staying close to home and loving on the people that are important in life. Hold your loved ones close this weekend!

Color Crush: Blush

Rose Quartz. Pink. Blush... Call it whatever you want, it's been making me seriously happy lately! Since saturated hues are somewhat new for me (I've been on a neutrals kick for the last couple of years), I'm easing into this obsession with a ton of flirty inspiration images and fun additions to Lo's space. It's super convenient that five-year-old rooms are the perfect place to experiment with unconventional colors. Next up on my wishlist, a few grown-up pops of pink and some blush colored additions to my closet.

Are you loving blush this year?!

It's a new week! Admittedly, it's always hard to dive back into the swing of things after a three-day-weekend but I'm revved up and ready to get things underway. I have a few tasks on the agenda (conquering our kitchen re-paint, business as usual at Finery, wishing my sweet hubs farewell for a week-long trip to Austin, powering through the latest season of Orange Is The New Black, etc.) and it's shaping up to be a pretty routine couple of days.

In other news, I've been revisiting pieces from my closet that have been hanging around for a while. I found myself reaching for this bodysuit a ton during our college days but it's been perfect to throw under jeans and shorts this summer (I even wore it to the pool... YOLO, right?). This olive green duster is another piece that has been in rotation for a while but it's light weight and pretty color make it perfect for mindless layering. Have you given any old pieces new life lately?
