Pinspiration + Pre-Weekly Links

I'm trying something new this week and delivering a little online roundup at the beginning of the week instead of on Friday. Usually I collect my favorite finds throughout the week and give you a little dose of inspiration for the weekend but it seems like we could all use a pick-me-up on Monday. With our big move coming up and some residual grieving (it's definitely a process!), I've been neglecting this space in a big way. I have collaborations piling up and a general sense of computer aversion these days but sharing slowly and without much of a schedule seems to be what's working for me now. Hopefully, once we're on a deserted island with limited distractions, I'll find the blogging bug again.

What have I been up to lately, you ask (you didn't ask? it's okay.)? We're finally home from the West Coast and it's been so nice to have a couple of lay-low days. This week I'll be doing a ton of clearing out and packing up in preparation for a garage sale this weekend. My sister, who has lived with us for the last two years, is bidding us farewell on Sunday and taking off for Toronto by way of Washington D.C. I finished Girlboss on Netflix (LOVED IT!) and have started The Handmaiden's Tale. I'm equal parts riveted and terrified with a splash of TV PTSD. Are you watching? What do you think?

Before I ramble too much, here are a few links I'm loving lately. Happy Monday!

self care:
deep cleaning your attitude via Wit + Delight
a lingerie campaign that embraces the beauty of aging
a thought provoking article about our relationship with social media

in anticipation of Mother's Day:
a new series on motherhood on Jenni Kayne's Rip & Tan blog
Paloma and Bowie via Doen
always inspired by Millk's Amelia Fullarton (and her pregnancy style)

around the home:
at home with my favorite, Alicia Lund
Kelly Wearstler on what inspires her most

May Mood + What I Should Be Wearing

Hello there! We're finally back home from our trip to California and I'm feeling so inspired. We got a chance to hang out at the beach, spend time with family, hit up Disneyland with Lo and take a day trip to Joshua Tree / Palm Springs. It was great! My heart truly does reside in SoCal and I always return refreshed and re-inspired to live a simpler, more beautiful life. Hopefully one day we'll be able to stay in the area a bit more permanently (it was so nice to be so close to family for the week) but for now I'll rely on our yearly trip out West for my fix.

Luckily, this dose of inspiration coincides with a brand new month and our upcoming move (which has been pushed back to June-ish... gotta love the government / military life). I'm definitely trying to adopt a relaxed, SoCal outlook on the big transitions happening right now. What's your May mood? What do you have your eye on this month?

Out of Office

Hello lovelies! I'm currently in transit home to sunny California with my dad, my sister and Lorelai in tow. Girlboss on Netflix is in my queue and I've got a couple novels to work my way through while we log a few miles (or 3,000) in the air. I'm so ready for a whole week of family time, some beach hangs, a trip to Joshua Tree / Palm Springs and one last memorial to celebrate the life of my beautiful mom.

I'll be away from the computer for a whole week and honestly, I probably won't even miss it. While I do have a ton of blog ideas in the works, I'm thinking that some time unplugged will be such a nice and necessary refresher. Thanks for hanging in there during this weird transition time! I'm sure that once we're settled on The Island, this blog will likely float back to being business as usual. Until then, I'll probably be Instagramming a ton and putting my favorite spotify playlist on heavy rotation. See ya soon... wish you were here!
