4 Fall Trends To Wear Now

More so than any other facet of Fall, I'm excited about autumn dressing! Light layers and the freedom to play with different fabrics (hello knits, I'm lookin' at you) are so refreshing after months spent sweating in the same tired pair of denim shorts.

Keep reading for four of my favorite Fall trends...

lingerie inspired // Slips have been trending all year and they're not going anywhere any time soon. Loving lightweight silk and a classic shape? Me too! Paired with tough pieces like leather jackets and band tees or layered with even more lounge-wear, lingerie inspired outfits are effortless and cool.

try this: layer a t-shirt under a vintage slip... thrift stores are filled with vintage slips and camisoles

architectural details // Bell sleeves, molded cups, flutter backs, oh my! Fall's solution to Summer's off-the-shoulder craze is impactful detail on shirts and dresses alike. I'm obsessed with exaggerated sleeves and love the polished look of cascading ruffles or pieces that play with shape.

Still loving off-the-shoulder? Pair your warm weather tops with leather pants and booties to make the transition into Fall/Winter.

velvet // Nothing speaks to the season quite like velvet. This luxe fabric is the perfect mix of rich and cozy (which is really what Fall is all about, right?). Head-to-toe velvet jumpsuits, a pop of the textile on a kimono style throw-on piece or featured on the perfect pair of boots... I'm finding velvet everywhere and I'm not mad at it!

borrowed from the boys // I love dressing for comfort and menswear inspired pieces make it so easy. On my list of boyish buys: a tailored coat, the perfect tapered trousers, a chic pajama set that can be worn out and about and lots of crisp white shirts.
