Guest Blogging | Let It Be Beautiful

I'm blogging on Let It Be Beautiful today while my girl Ashlyn is out! Head on over to her blog to o download the following two desktop backgrounds and get into the Fall spirit...

September 24 edit: Seen something similar before? Me too! Sometimes, as a designer, it can become extremely difficult to separate the endless sources of online inspiration from the truly original ideas. Here at Chelsea & The City, I pride myself on being authentic and giving credit where it is due however, I am also human and am bound to make a few mistakes along the way. Since publishing these designs, I have realized that I unintentionally filed away inspiration from another extremely talented creator, Kelly from Kelly Christine Studio. As with all things, I aim to navigate the blogging/designing world with grace and feel that Kelly deserves a major shout out! Although any similarities are purely unintentional, please see Kelly's design here and give props to a blogger I am proud to also call a friend.

Guest Post: Catalina Creative

I'm honored to have a few fabulous friends (and incredibly talented bloggers) guest posting for me while I'm away visiting family. Natalie and her design project/lifestyle blog, Catalina Creative, are two of my absolute favorite things! Since she's a D.C. native, Natalie offered to share the perfect outfit (and a sweet dinner destination) for those of you visiting the city this Spring.

Topshop Split Side Tee $72.00, Diane Von Furstenberg Benett Orchid-Print Silk Tapered Pants $300.00, Topshop Rose Gold Toe Sandals $110.00, Topshop Leather Side Bar Clutch $76.00

Hello everyone! Natalie here from Catalina Creative. I was so flattered and excited when my friend Chelsea asked me to do a guest post while she's away! With Chelsea visiting my area, I chose a DC spot for a What to Wear & Where post. I've been dying to go to Table on N Street for dinner and drinks on a warm evening. Preferably, on their chic little patio with good company. As a restaurant that embodies simplicity in the most stylish way, I thought it fitting to wear a simple outfit with a pop of print. And I've been holding onto these orchid print pants to share for a while! How classic and feminine are they?? Please stop being $300 so I can own you. While I'll be wishlisting those slacks, these Topshop shoes are currently being mailed my way! I was so happy to find Spring sandals with a mix of neutrals and the perfect little gold detailing.

How would you ladies pair these perfectly printed pants on a spring day?

Visit me over at Catalina Creative for more What to Wear & Where posts!

Cheers, Natalie

Guest Post: A Dose of Pretty

I'm honored to have a few fabulous friends (and incredibly talented bloggers) guest posting for me while I'm away in Washington D.C. A Dose of Pretty has become one of my favorite daily reads and Sara is one of my dearest blog friends. I can always count on her for a quick text of encouragement, a few killer weekend ideas or, like today, amazingly inspiring favorites. sarasfavorites_guestpost

I'm so honored to be taking over Chelsea's blog while she's getting some much needed R&R with family and friends. Since you might not know me I thought I would share some of my favorite things as of late. I hope you enjoy reading about them!

+ My Fujifilm Instax Camera: I've taken it to the beach a few times and I can't wait to take it with us on vacation. + Lucy Laucht's instagram account {@lucylaucht} never fails to keep me inspired. + I love having fresh flowers in our home. It brightens up my day. + For weekend dates with the hubby I love wearing distressed denim with heels. I'm still a fan of Gap skinnies and boyfriend jeans. The J.Crew Everly heels are the most comfy heels I've tried. + And a few other random favorites: distressed denim {these Rag and Bone shorts are a new acquisiton}, embellished sandals, and coffee table books.

Be sure to stop by Sara's blog, A Dose of Pretty, for more of her favorites and follow her Instagram for more gorgeous shots!
