Can you believe it? It's been a whole year (my first post was on September 17th last year) since I started Chelsea & The City and I couldn't be happier or more excited for what is yet to come. I feel as though I'm starting to get the hang of personal outfit posts and look forward to a bunch of amazing new things.

Thank you so much for following me on this journey to document the things that make my life happier and a little more chic! I truly appreciate every single comment you leave me and am curious to know what more you'd like to see, what you like and what you don't.

I have always been over-excited when the seasons change and this fall is no exception! I love being able to switch up my look with cozier pieces and to retire my summer brights in favor or warmer, more muted tones. This autumn I'm looking forward to playing with texture, luxe wine hues and flat(ish) shoes. I've never been one to dress seasonally appropriate and the "no white after labor day" rule only makes me want to rock head-to-toe white all the more. Originally I threw on my trusty military jacket but it's still much too hot in Florida to begin dressing for fall. What fashion rules do you love to break?

p.s. Nobody ever tells you just how uncomfortable it is to shoot outfit pictures in public places. I spend about half an hour checking for neighbors, lugging my tripod in and out of my house and hiding from passers by during the process. Here's hoping it gets easier or I get a little gutsier!
